Monster makes posting a job ad simple! You can begin posting a new Job Ad by clicking on Post A Job next to the Monster homepage logo. As you walk through the job ad process, red asterisks will indicate required fields. Just know that Monster urges all employers to complete as many fields as possible when posting their job ads for improved search rankings. Yes, you can – and it’s very easy. After you’ve signed into your Monster Account, click on My Jobs at the top of the page and find the job ad you want to edit. Click on the Edit button under to the job title, this will take you back to the posting flow, where you can update the information of the job ad.

No! At the moment it is not possible to add a video in the job description. If you have purchased a Branded Job Template you can add 1-3 company videos to be displayed on all your ads.  

Once you research the position, meet with the hiring manager and create an action plan to fill this position, you want to make sure your job ad is going to get the job done. Here’s a list of what you should incorporate into every job ad you post: 

  • Job TitleKeep it simple and use an industry standard job title that candidates would search for. 
  • Job Location Be clear about the job location. 
  • Company NameCandidates appreciate transparency and are more likely to apply if they can research the company. 
  • Industry and Job Type Be clear about the industry and job type for each position so candidates will know exactly what you are looking for. 
  • Salary Range Be upfront and you will attract candidates with matching salary expectations. 
  • Employer Branding Including your company logo in your job ad will help it stand out in search results and make it more memorable to candidates. 
  • Quality Job Description Be clear and concise, sell the position and go beyond bulleted lists.

Click on My Jobs in the menu to gain insight and take control over your job postings. There are several actions you can perform on your jobs, depending on the status and what you’d like to do. 

Edit – make changes to your job, any changes made will take approximately 2 hours to go live. Making edits are free of charge unless you add additional regions, categories, or enhancements on the second page. 

Renew – post your job again, this will use an additional credit. If your active job has auto-refresh, it automatically appears as newly posted on the date of the refresh cycle. Performance data will stay tied to the job regardless of how many times it was renewed. 

Copy – copy your job to post a new version of it, this option allows you to reset the performance and get brand new statistics. 

Expire – if you have found the ideal candidate and no longer need applications, expire the role. This option is preferred to setting a custom expiry date. 

Archive – if you no longer have use for the job, archive it. These jobs will be grouped into the same view and you won’t confuse them with recently expired roles. 

Alongside the job actions, you can always see performance data. Views and applies will indicate how your job is performing.
